www.aap.org -The website of AAP is well de signed and includes their charter and membership, their policy statements on various diseases, advocacy, details of various publications,
parents questions, web pages for the various subspecialty chapters and a
monthly newsletter. The subspecialty chapter on computers (SCOT) has a
collection of websites on pediatrics, 'the best of Pediatric internet'.
Among the interesting features is the 'A minute for your kids', a one
minute audio presentation on various topics in Pediatrics for parent education. You can hear these audio files online using Real Player. The details about the various campaigns organized by the AAP are also available here. The AAP grand rounds, which features abstracts from various journals is also available online from this site.

Global Tuberculosis Program of WHO -
www.who.ch/programmelgtb/GTBHome-page.html - One of the many sites on tuberculosis, this is the homepage of the WHO's Global TB program. This site includes details about the DOTS, publications on Tuberculosis, WHO activities including the world TB day and links to various resources on TB world wide. A journal, the TB treatment Ob- server and the WHO's Report on Global TB Control for 1999 is also available online.
World Alliance for Breast Feeding Action -
www.elogica.com.br/waba/-Breast feeding is quite popular among the health topics in the net. Among the prominent sites is that of the W ABA. This is a global network of organizations and individuals dedicated to protect, promote and support breast feeding. W ABA
acts on the Innocenti Declaration and works in liaison with UNICEF. This website states their role, goals, structure and various task forces including information on their popular World Breast Feeding Week which is celebrated every year. In India it is represented by BPNI, Breast Feeding Promotion Network of India.

Harrison's Online - www.harrisonsonline.com/ - This popular textbook of medicine is available online, however for a subscription. A few sample chapters are available without subscription.
DAB Pediatric Surgery -

It includes case discussions, CME programs, and links to various internet resources on Pediatric Surgery. The multimedia. tutorials on spinal dysraphism and laryngotracheal reconstruction are noteworthy.
Children and Parliament
- www.candp.ncb.org.uk/ - The National Children's Bureau (NCB) of UK works to identify and promote the well being and interests of all children and young people across every aspect of their lives. Their website contains details about the organization
and its activities. Among the interesting features in the websites is
the Children and Parliament, which collates abstracts of all parliamentary business affecting children from the House of Commons and House of Lords and is updated weekly while the Parliament is sitting. This
requires a subscription.
