Malaria foundation International- www.malaria.org/ - The Malaria foundation international is a global partner in malaria eradication. The website contains latest information on malaria, including research on the plasmodium genome, conference news, links to malaria resources on the web and a discussion forum on malaria.

WHO TDR malaria - http://www.who.int/tdr/diseases/malaria/default.htm - The World Health Organization, Tropical diseases research website on malaria contains malaria fact sheets, nucleotide and protein information, information on malaria control programs, publications, events, and other aspects of diagnosis, treatment and malaria control. The WHO website also contains the Malaria Image library (www.who.int/tdr/media/image.html) and information about Roll Back Malaria,(http://mosquito.who.int) the program that aims to decrease the malaria burden by half by the year 2010.

CDC malaria website - www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dpd/parasites/malaria/default.htm - The Center for Disease control, Atlanta, USA, website on malaria contains an extensive collection of articles from the MMWR(Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report) and Emerging Infectious Diseases journals. Full text of guidelines on prevention and management of malaria can also be accessed from this site. Information on travel precautions is available from their Traveller’s health site(http://www.cdc.gov/travel/).

UNICEF statistics Malaria - http://childinfo.org/eddb/Malaria/index.htm - The statistical information on malaria, including the current status, trends and country specific data has been presented in this website. The website also contains information about diagnosis, treatment and drug resistance patterns in malaria.

Interactive tutorial on malaria - www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/tutorials/malaria/id319101.html - This is an interactive tutorial on malaria meant for patients and provides information on various aspects of malaria. The tutorial has been produced by the patient education center of the National library of medicine, USA.

ACTMalaria - www.actmalaria.org - The Asian Collaborative Training network for malaria is based in Thailand, conducts training courses and implements inter-country cooperation on malaria eradication. The ACTmalaria website contains details about their training programs, technical reports, a publication- the malaria news, country reports and information on malaria drug resistance.

Malaria Vaccine Initiative - www.malariavaccine.org - This is a part of the PATH(Program for appropriate technology in health) and is a privately funded(Melinda and Bill Gates Foundation) initiative for malaria vaccine development. The website contains information about the ongoing projects on malaria vaccine development and information about various aspects of malaria.

Malaria Journal - www.malariajournal.com - This is an online journal on malaria published by BioMed Central(www.bmc.com) in collaboration with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. Free access to the full-text of the journal is allowed. Online submission of articles is possible through this website.
