NMDP - www.marrow.org. National Marrow Donor Program is a bone marrow transplant registry on the WWW. It maintains a directory of donors and recipients and their HLA matches and facilitates unrelated donor stem cell transplants for patients around the world. Currently, the NMDP facilitates more than 100 transplants each month and provides a single point of access for all sources of blood stem cells used in transplantation: marrow, peripheral blood and umbilical cord blood. Patients and physicians can search the NMDP database to receive information about the multiple stem cell sources for life-saving transplants. NMDP presently maintains a registry of approximately 4 million potential volunteer marrow and blood stem cell donors. CT is US - www.ctisus.org. As the name suggests, this site is on CT scans. The site contains a CT image database. The images are sharp and fast to load. Another feature is the journal club which has been kept upto date. Stanford University Department of Pediatrics - wwwmed.stanford.edu/school/pediatrics/index.html. This is a image databse of congenital heart disease maintained by the University of Minnesota. This contains X-ray’s, echocardiographs and angiocardiography films of various diseases. A short description of the various listed conditions have also been included. This site aims at educating mothers about the benefits of breastfeeding. Videoclips, success stories, getting over problems associated with breast feeding have all been well presented. In addition educational material for mothers and posters for professionals are also available form the site.
