1. Wheeze associated ARI is used almost synonymously with bronchiolitis. We preferred this term because we had taken only those patients who had predominant wheezing.

2. The existing literature at the time of planning the study did not show any consensus on the dose of L-adrenaline as most of the studies were done using racemic adrenaline. In view of the facial flushing reported with the high dose in the only other similar study using L-adrenaline available to us(1), we felt that a safer lower dose should be a good beginning point.

3. After the review of literature, we felt it would be unethical to withhold bronchdilators from any group.

4. Our study was not designed to follow-up children following discharge.
